Who said "Veni Vidi Vici" and why did he say it?

I'm assuming, based on pure guess, a man said this... I heard this phrase several times but what does it mean and what language? and why did he say it? and what did he accomplish? sorry i kno this is wrong section but i had a feeling i should write it here lol!
